I just wanted to congratulate the Philadelphia Spirit 12 U Silver on their awesome victories over each team this weekend. It looks like all of that hard work over the winter has really paid off. Hi 18's, some of you may remember me, I coached a few of you. Friday night I was playing leftfield at Max Myers and low and behold what do I see but Brittany and Gert's names painted in the grass. I know that is one of Little Flower's traditions. As my game went on I started to remember back to the first day Gert and Brittany and Kellianne came to a Spirit tryout. 9 years old and now you guys are about to start college, I can't believe it. You have come a long way.
Then I open the Northeast Times and there is a whole story about Gert the catcher. When I tried to teach her how to catch she fought me tooth and nail, her legs hurt!I am just glad to see that you girls are doing well and still enjoying softball! I am very proud of you! Hi!This is gaby mione and I play for the philadelphia spirit 12 and under purple team. yesterday{march 26} we had 2 scrimages and we did ok the first game i pitched the first three innings and then valerie came in. we didn't win,yet we didn't lose.We tied 0-0. we should of won.then,in our second game,we won i caught and our pitchers did really well. we won 8-3. i went to throw the ball at home because there was a girl going home trying to score and i threw it and it hit her in the stomach!
oops!we are a really good team!i live very far from phily though,i live in hummelstown{1 mile from hershey}and go down to philly every saturday!! It's worth it though!

The site is terrific. This is my daughter Melanie's first year with the Spirit and the wealth of training she is getting is "priceless". To the greatest bunch of girls, coaches and parents EVER!!!!!!! Thanks for a great week in Hawaii!!!!!!! You girls ALL did an awsome job!! Being sunburnt, tired and banged up from playing on a "Lava Rock " infield. The question was, "why do the players from Hawaii all wear long pants, socks, and underarmor?" Well I guess we now know why. Sliding on LAVA ROCK HURTS!!!!!!!
Just ask Bri, Suzie, Heather and all the other girls that are still bleeding. And you came through like the first class team you are. Winning the tournament against the ASA Hawaii state champs is huge and so are ALL of you!!!!!!! Now we have to find a "Gilligans Island" to go to next that is a little closer to Philly!!!!!!! Hey 16's! Don't worry about Allentown just think about Oklahoma okay? I can't wait for Thursday! I know we are goig to do really well (we better lol.). But any way, here's a few reminders while we are there... 1. Don't worry about the college coaches, just play every game like a regular game no matter how well or not well you are playing. 2. O.F.B's we gotta take charge lol. But really now unity is a key, we are such a closely knit team.
