#8 Brianne Birtell
Brianne verbally committed to attend Delaware Valley College in late January. The head coach of the Aggies is Rich Matarese, who finished his fourth season in 2007. They are a NCAA Division III program and in the Freedom Conference, part of the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation.
Delaware Valley is located in historic Doylestown, PA, about 30 miles north of Philadelphia. The Aggies were 16-14 overall and Rich Matarese was named the Freedom Conference Coach of the Year.
The MASCAC softball members are Albright C, Arcadia U, Delaware Valley C, DeSales U, Elizabethtown C, Fairleigh Dickinson U, King's C, Lebanon Valley C, Lycoming C, Manhattanville C, Messiah C, Widener U and Wilkes U.
#42 Heather Brabazon
Heather verbally committed to attend St. Joseph's University in September on a softball scholarship and officially signed her National Letter of Intent on November 20. The head coach of the Hawks is Terri Adams, who finished her first season in 2007. They are a NCAA Division I program and in the Atlantic-10 Conference.

St. Joseph's is located on the western border of Philadelphia, residing in both the city and the suburb of Lower Merion. Their primary field is East Norriton Field, located in East Norriton, PA and has been home for the past eleven seasons. The Hawks posted an impressive 106-40-1 record, including a perfect 10-0 record at home in 2003.
The A-10 Conference softball members are U of NC Charlotte, U of Dayton, Fordham U, George Washington U, U of Massachusetts Amherst, LaSalle U, U of Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure U, St. Joseph's U, St. Louis U and Temple U.

Breanna verbally committed to attend LaSalle University in early December and officially signed her National Letter of Intent on April 20. The head coach of the Explorers is Joe DiPietro, who finished his fourth season in 2007. They are a NCAA Division I program and in the Atlantic-10 Conference.
LaSalle is located near center city Philadelphia as the main campus and home games are played on campus at the Good Shepherd field.

Carly verbally committed to attend Holy Family University in late October and officially signed her National Letter of Intent in early November. The head coach of the Tigers is Mickey McGroarty, who finished his fifteenth season in 2007. They are a NCAA Division II program and in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
Holy Family is located in northeast Philadelphia as the main campus and home games are played at the Northeast campus. In 2007 the Tigers was second in the conference in hitting with a .293 average and third in hits with 410. Under coach McGroarty his team has compiled an overall record of 352-224-4. He has been a four time recipient of Coach of the Year honors (1994, 1998, 1999 and 2000).
The CACC softball members are Bloomfield C, Caldwell C, Dominican C, Felician C, Georgian Court U, Goldey-Beacom C, Holy Family U, Nyack C, Philadelphia U, Post U, U of Sciences Philadelphia and Wilmington U.

Shannon verbally committed to attend Washington College in early January. The head coach of the Shorewomen is Louie Richardson, who finished his third season in 2007. They are a NCAA Division III program and in the Centennial Conference.
Washington is located in Chestertown, MD on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay and home games are played on campus at the softball field.
The Centennial Conference softball members are Dickinson C, Franklin & Marshall C, Gettysburg C, Haverford C, McDaniel C, Muhlenberg C, Swarthmore C, Ursinus C and Washington C.
#37 Meagan Walton
Meagan verbally committed to Guilford College in late October. The head coach of the Quakers is Dennis Shores, who finished his first season in 2007. They are a NCAA Division III program and in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Guilford is located in northwest Greensboro, North Carolina and home games are played on campus at the Haworth Softball Field.
The ODAC softball members are Bridgewater C, Eastern Mennonite U, Emory & Henry C, Lynchburg C, Randolph C, Randolph-Macon C, Roanoke C, Sweet Briar C and Virginia Wesleyan C.

The head coach of the Lions is Len Glowzenski, who finished his third season in 2006. They are a NCAA Division II program and in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Lions finished their season with a 29-17 record overall and 15-7 in the conference. Georgian Court is located in Lakewood, NJ as the main campus.

Wilkes is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA and play their home games on campus at the Ralston Complex.

The PSAC softball members are Bloomsburg U of PA, California U of PA, Clarion U, East Stroudsburg U, Edinboro U, Indiana U of PA, Kutztown U, Lock Haven U, Mansfield U of PA, Millersville U, Shippensburg U, Slippery Rock U of PA and West Chester U.

Congratulations to Erin Thorn who just made a verbal commitment to Brandeis University on February 7! Brandeis was Erin's #1 choice! In just a few months playing with the Spirit, Erin is living proof that if you work hard, you can reach your goal you set for yourself. Erin worked very hard on and off the field with her e-mails to coaches, performing very well in the fall showcases and first priority was her academics! Erin, good luck and keep up the good work!!
